This website highlights the teaching career of Vanessa Miller who’s based out of New York City and directs a makerspace program at a private k-8 school. She’s been teaching in the independent school system for the past 10 years with a focus on visual arts ranging from stop-motion animation, graphic design, 3D design & modeling, and creative coding projects. Vanessa is inspired by the STEAM and Maker Movements, aiming to give her students the tools to problem solve while experimenting with different tools and mediums. In 2010 Vanessa earned a Masters Degree from the New School in Media Arts and in 2005 graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies.
