I appreciate your visit to my website which highlights the maker curriculum I’ve been developing throughout the past five years. I identify as LatinX and am proud to be a woman in tech!
In the fall of 2021, I took a leap of faith and moved to San Francisco to teach in the Upper School Makery at the Katherine Delmar Burkes School. Previously, I taught in NYC independent schools for the past 14 years with a focus on visual arts and digital fabrication ranging from stop-motion animation, engineering, graphic design, 3D design and creative coding projects.
My biggest goal is to empower my students to find their artistic voice through the use of technology and design. I tend to draw inspiration for my curriculum from my love of modern and contemporary art. In my free time, I’ve been known to travel great distances for experiential pieces of art by artists like Richard Serra, Sol Lewitt and James Turrell.
In 2010 I earned a Masters Degree from the New School in Media Arts and in 2005 graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies.
